Suzannah Schreckhise - Artists 360 Project Grant Recipient 2020

Project Description

Breath is a series of 10 fiber artworks that are stand-alone sculptures as well as air filters that explore broad intersections of art, utility, place, and comfort during this sudden paradigm shift the global pandemic represents. I will interview 10 diverse people and ask them for a piece of fiber that holds memories and meaning. I will combine the item as well as taking into account the personality that is discovered as a result of interviewing them and create a mask that is a visual representation of my findings.
