Project Description

Helen Kwiatkowski will create three small editions of mixed media content-based artist books, using traditional and/or non-traditional structures and bindings. Content will focus on contemporary social concerns. At least one of the three editions will be a collaboration with another artist or writer.

Artist Bio

Helen Kwiatkowski currently lives and works in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She holds an MFA from Texas A&M University and is a former Professor of Art at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Her work has been exhibited nationally in both solo and group shows, including the 2009 Texas Biennial: An Independent Survey of Contemporary Art in Texas.  In 2013 she was awarded a grant to complete a limited-edition, hand bound book entitled I Build a Lighted House. Her paintings are included in the book Her Texas: Story, Image, Poem & Song (A collection by Texas women artists, writers and thinkers) published by Wings Press in 2015.
