Perfidia is a series of sculptural groupings, chapters, formed from the rearrangement and manipulation of casts, molds, and recreations of family objects. The family objects reference two divergent and parallel family narratives on farms in rural parts of America.
Nicole Wilson is Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Arkansas and holds an MFA in Art Theory and Practice, as well as a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies, from Northwestern University and a BFA in Sculpture from Tyler School of Art. In May 2021, she presented a solo exhibition of an ongoing project, Ötzi, at Praise Shadows Gallery in Boston. Accompanying the exhibition is an artist book published by Small Editions Press. The exhibition, Ötzi, is currently traveling to Three Kings Tattoo locations in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and London.
