New Movement at Mount Sequoyah is a community-integrated residency that will culminate in a new site-specific performance that gathers stories and histories of Mount Sequyoah to create a narrative examining relationships with our own memories, the memories of others, and memories the land of Mt. Sequoyah holds.
Caroline Sharkey is an Arkansas based dancer and choreographer. Caroline has trained at Interlochen Arts Academy and the Alonzo King LINES BFA program. From 2018 to 2020, she took part in Hubbard Street Professional Program and performed with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago on many occasions during her time there. She is currently a collaborator with BodySonnet, a collective of dancers focused on providing communities across the country accessible interactions with an interdisciplinary dance performance. Her work has been presented across the country in both traditional and non-traditional settings.
