Autumn Blaylock is a multidisciplinary artist and speaker for Ozarkan folklore and emotional color from Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her work investigates and invests in the relationship between the histories of her own Scottish heritage and the legends and mythologies of the Ozarks that she grew up in. She is passionate about preservation of both good stories and color theory. She has shown work throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Washington. In 2020, Blaylock won the Congressional Art Competition for the 3rd district of Arkansas; her work “Pandemic Prom” was displayed on Capitol Hill the following year. She hopes to continue to share and listen to good stories through her work in the visual-arts, spoken poetry and the art of others. She is currently pursuing her BFA in drawing at the University of Arkansas and preparing to exhibit at the Iowa State Fair for the preservation of rural families and agricultural traditions.
