Nothing But the Blood is a collection of short stories, retellings of Biblical narratives, and hybrid pieces that examine spirituality, belonging, and religious trauma in the rural south.
Joy Clark received her MFA from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR, where she served as Fiction Editor for The Arkansas International from 2017-2020. In 2017 and 2019 she was the recipient of the Walton Family Fellowship for Fiction. Her work can be read in places such as The Kenyon Review Online, New Delta Review, and Bayou Magazine.
