Sara Schellenberg is a painter and tattoo artist from St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating with her BFA from the University of Arkansas, Sara co-opened Paper Doll Tattoo, a collaborative woman and queer-owned and operated tattoo shop in Fayetteville. From her studio at Paper Doll, Sara sustains a vibrant collaborative tattooing practice with her clients and co-owners. Alongside tattooing, Sara makes medium to large scale oil paintings exploring visual relationships between painting traditions and more folk-based art traditions, namely quilting.
